The secrets of Plain Kate's bilges
We received this email from FACT friend Peter Collings on 21 October, who had just heard PK was about to be hauled out:
"If you find a soggy bible within the port side hull around midships, I'd like to claim it. It was lost from a top bunk in around 1986 dropped accidentally into some sort of cavity within the hull structure... not to worry if you don't find it..."
We're sure many other people have seen their valued items suddenly disappear off the back of the 'shelf' by their bunk. Tell us about your experiences! I seem to remember losing at least one alarm clock and a watch.
